EuroCham Hosts SCOPE-HE Meeting to Explore EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity

EuroCham Vietnam was honoured to host the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE) at its Hanoi office on Friday, 6 September 2024. This significant meeting brought together key figures from SCOPE-HE, including Dr. Frank Feulner, Team Leader, Ms. Puspa Verena, TVET Programme Officer, and Ms. Annisa Rasydihartanti, Programme Officer for Higher Education. The session aimed to discuss the programme’s goals, explore potential collaborations, and share insights into both SCOPE-HE’s and EuroCham’s ongoing initiatives.

Exploring Synergies and Future Collaboration

The primary focus of the meeting was to delve into the objectives and activities of the SCOPE-HE Programme, which seeks to enhance sustainable connectivity between the EU and ASEAN in higher education. The programme aims to boost student and academic mobility, encourage research and technological partnerships, and better align vocational education with market needs to spur regional economic growth.

Dr. Feulner and his team outlined how SCOPE-HE is working to address educational and research gaps between the EU and ASEAN, with a focus on sustainable development. Their efforts align closely with EuroCham’s mission to foster international partnerships and support sustainable practices.

EuroCham’s Role and Upcoming Events

Ms. Van Nguyen, EuroCham’s Head of Hanoi Office and External Relations Manager, provided an overview of EuroCham’s forthcoming events, including the Whitebook and GEFE 2024. These events are critical for facilitating dialogue and collaboration among key stakeholders and will complement the objectives of the SCOPE-HE Programme.

The meeting highlighted the potential for collaboration between EuroCham and SCOPE-HE, with both parties eager to explore synergies and contribute to advancing sustainable educational initiatives.
