At the Customs-Business Forum 2024 on 10 September, EuroCham Vietnam was recognised for our contributions to customs-business partnerships over the past decade. Our Vice-Chairman Minh Nguyen offered valuable recommendations on compliance, emphasising collaboration between businesses and customs authorities. Looking ahead, EuroCham is set to deepen this engagement with an exclusive Training & Dialogue with Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department on 27 September, where members can interact directly with customs officials and help shape future policies.

Reflecting on a Decade of Partnership Development

Held at the General Department of Customs (GDC) headquarters in Hanoi, the Customs-Business Forum 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of customs-business partnerships and celebrated Vietnam Customs’ Traditional Day. Organised by Customs Magazine, the event gathered leaders and officials from the GDC, delegates from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and various business associations to discuss the achievements of the past decade and propose new strategies for the future.

Vice-Chair Minh Nguyen’s Recommendations and EuroCham’s Recognition

At the forum, Vice-Chairman Minh Nguyen highlighted the importance of creating cost-effective compliance strategies through enhanced dialogue and coordination among management agencies, businesses, and associations. His insights were well-received, reflecting EuroCham’s commitment to fostering a transparent and supportive environment for trade. He also took the opportunity to introduce EuroCham’s upcoming event with Ho Chi Minh City Customs at the end of September, emphasising its importance for continued partnership and collaboration.
